This is a simple, tool-free repair. With the dryer unplugged or off, locate the lint trap opening at the top of the dryer and pull the old lint screen straight up and out. Line up the new ADQ56656401 screen with the same opening and slide it back down into place until it seats fully and sits flush. There's no need to disconnect power for this repair, but it's good practice to do so if you're also cleaning out the trap housing itself. While the screen is out, take a moment to wipe down the inside of the lint trap housing to clear any accumulated lint before reinserting the new screen. Tools needed: none.
